A look at the town's past. Located on County Highway 111/London Bridge Road, going towards Canada
Lake, (follow the signs) The museum

Caroga Lakes Area Boat Launches-
Caroga Lake - with access to East and West Caroga Lake - located at the Caroga
Lake State Campground on East Caroga Lake. On Route 29A, nine miles northwest of the City of Gloversville. Beach launch. Parking for 15 cars and trailers.
Caroga Lake - with access to East and West Caroga Lakes - the Caroga Lake Marina is located on the East side of the channel that connects both lakes, featuring a hard surface ramp. Visit their website for information and rates. www.carogalakemarina.com
West Lake - with access to Canada Lake, Green Lake and Lily Lake- Located off Route 10, one-mile south of the intersection of Routes 29A and 10 on the Point Breeze Road. Hard surface ramp. Parking for 15 cars and trailers.

Timberlane Blueberry Farm-
Located on the Mussey Road, you can pick your own organically grown blueberries

Hiking-
Kane Mountain- This hike is a little under a mile, up the mountain.
When you reach the top of the mountain, you will see a old firetower. It is not
in use anymore, but hikers are still allowed to hike up it. You can find a spectacular
aerial view (without going in a helicopter!) of the surrounding lakes and mountains
on a nice day.
Directions from Caroga Lake: The Green Lake entrance can be found right after
you cross over the bridge (on Route 10/29A) that connects Green Lake and Canada
Lake. Take your first right, Green Lake Road. Take that road and follow it until
it forks. Follow the road to the left and you will come to the parking area.
The trailhead will be at your left.
Nine Corner- This hike is also a little under a mile, but less
of an incline. A beautiful walk through the woods, seeing nature at its best.
Streams, small waterfalls, and beautiful foliage during the fall. At the end
of the trail, you are brought to a beautiful scenic lake.
Directions from Caroga Lake: Follow Route 29A to Pine Lake, bear left at the
Y and the parking area and trailhead are less than a mile beyond, on your right.

Caroga Chapel- Services are held
on Sunday's at 10:30am during the months of July
and August. Come as you are.
North Bush United Methodist Church- Services are held on Sunday's, and beginning July 25th, at 10am, otherwise at 9am, with their new minister, Kathy Reese, also of the Bleecker Community Church. Royal Mountain Ski Center- Located
on Route 10, this ski mountain offers ski school,
rentals, and a snack bar. There are 12 trails and
3 double chair lifts on the mountain. The mountain
is open 9am-4pm on weekends, holidays and holiday weeks during

Snowmobile Trail System-
The town is filled with approximately 35 miles of groomed trails, maintained
by the Nick Stoner Trailers. You can become a member of the club and
help by attending the meetings, the dates are listed on their website.

Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing-
Arctic Circle Cross
Country Ski Center, located 2 1/2 miles East of Caroga
Lake off the Bleecker-Benson Road (Co. Rt. 112). Enjoy
over 20 K of groomed and tracked trails, ranging from
beginner to difficult levels. Skiing 9 am-dark: $10,
8 am-dark: $12; ski rentals available - $16 full day,
$10 - half day. Sleigh Riding $5 rentals, $2 to ride.

Rockwood State Forest,
located on State Route 29 (toward Johnstown) is the
home to miles of both public and private groomed trails.
For more information call (518) 725-0641 Skiing and
snowshoeing are also permitted on groomed snowmobile
trails, but make sure to stay to the side of the trail
when you hear a snowmobile coming, always be alert.
